Standard features on the 2025 BMW X5 include the BMW Curved Display with a configurable 12.3" instrument cluster and 14.9" central information display, the iDrive 8.5 Operating System with BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant and Remote Software Upgrades, and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility.
Inside, you'll also find a vegan Sensafin upholstery with heated front sport seats, multi-color ambient interior lighting, and a wireless device charging pad.
Additionally, the 2025 BMW X5 comes standard with a 375-horsepower 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline 6-cylinder engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system, 8-speed automatic transmission, and rear-wheel drive. Although rear-wheel drive is standard, most X5 models available for sale come with BMW's xDrive All-Wheel Drive system.
The BMW X5 sDrive40i and xDrive40i are essentially the same model with one main difference: the xDrive40i features BMW's xDrive intelligent All-Wheel Drive system, while the sDrive40i is just a rear-wheel drive model. If you live somewhere with adverse conditions like heavy rain and snow or frequently drive off-road, the X5 xDrive40i is an ideal choice. If you do primarily around-town driving in mild conditions, the X5 sDrive40i will be sufficient.
The BMW X5 xDrive50e is a plug-in hybrid model that combines an electric vehicle's benefits with a combustion engine's flexibility. The X5 xDrive50e has an all-electric range of up to 40 miles***, meaning you can enjoy a smooth and quiet driving experience for most trips around town. For longer drives, you can utilize the inline 6-cylinder twin-turbo gasoline engine for maximum range and power.
The BMW X5 M60i splits the difference between the standard X5 models and the performance-focused X5 M Competition. The X5 M60i offers a larger, more powerful V8 engine and a more aggressive exterior design like the X5 M Competition, but the suspension and driving dynamics are softer, like the standard X5 models.
